Meet Troy

With over 30 years of experience in the opal industry, Troy Rafferty is a seasoned cutter and owner of Troy Rafferty Opals.

Troy's extensive involvement spans all aspects of the opal industry, encompassing mining, valuation, purchasing rough opals, and wholesale selling. He specialises in Boulder opal from the Queensland mining fields surrounding Winton and Quilpie, however, he has experience in all types of opal including Black opal from Lightning Ridge, New South Wales and White opal from Coober Pedy, South Australia.
